Commission On Aging

The Commission on Aging (COA) is an advisory Committee to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. The Commission works with the Director of the Area Agency on Aging on community interests and issues faced by seniors in El Dorado County. This includes, but is not limited to, developing community centers in strategic areas of the county to make services accessible to all seniors.  The group also promotes services that help seniors to remain in their homes and prevent elder abuse.

Our Core Values

Advocacy:  In that we listen, give voice to, and act to ensure that the needs, desires, and concerns of the older adults of the county are understood and respected.

Advising:  In that we act to ensure that the governing bodies responsible for policy and service delivery organizations responsible for implementation and aligned with the needs, desires, and concerns of older adults.
