California Forest Improvement Program (CFIP)

CFIP aims to promote investment in and better management of California's forestlands to maintain a stable and thriving forest system. The program offers cost-share assistance to both private and public landowners with 20 to 5,000 acres of forest land. Eligible activities include developing Forest Management Plans, reforestation, stand improvement, forestland conservation practices, and habitat improvement.

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)

EQIP is Natural Resources Conservation Service's (NRCS) primary initiative, assisting farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners in incorporating conservation practices into working lands. EQIP offers technical and financial support to address natural resource concerns, including improved water and air quality, water conservation, enhanced soil health, reduced erosion, wildlife habitat creation, and drought mitigation.
