How to Use Pads and Pillows

Pillows
Place the absorbent pillow where bilge collects in your boat. The pillow will absorb the oil and fuel from the bilge water, preventing its migration to the lake.

Pads
The white absorbent pads are to be placed underneath the gasoline nozzle when you're refueling your boat. The image on the right demonstrates the proper technique. The pad can also be used to mop oil or gas that has spilled directly onto the water; the pad will only absorb the spillage, not the water.

Disposal
When the pad or pillow is saturated with oil or fuel, place them in a zip-lock bag and transport them to one of the marinas participating in this program.
