​CalRecycle Rubberized Pavement Grant Program

In January 2022, Department of Transportation, Maintenance and Operations was awarded and funded a third Rubberized Pavement Grant for Rubberized Chip Seal through the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). 

Between July 2022 and October 2022, Maintenance and Operations performed multiple rounds of Rubberized Chip Seal under this grant in the Cold Creek area of South Lake Tahoe, on El Dorado Hills Blvd in El Dorado Hills, on Greenwood Road in Garden Valley and in the Diamond Springs, area including Deer Park and Koki areas. Total, the projects diverted 22,300waste tires from the waste stream.
