Road Closures for Encroachment Permits

The Director of Transportations has the authority to order the temporary closure of roadways. Full road closures are temporary closures of all travel lanes of a roadway when necessary to perform encroachment permit work. Encroachment permit applicants may submit an application for a full road closure permit when working conditions will not allow the roadway to remain open to traffic. A site specific traffic control plan and detour plan must be included with the submittal of a full road closure permit application.
