Seasonal Part-Time Extra Help Job Opportunities
Join the County Parks Division team as a seasonal extra help staff member! Work outside in nature, build skills, and gain valuable parks operations experience. Parks Division offers seasonal part-time employment opportunities at Henningsen Lotus Park and the South Fork of the American River. The positions typically start late March / early April and extend through the summer season to the end of September / early October, depending on weather and the special event schedule.

- Park Operations Assistant – Under general supervisions, the Park Operations Assistant receives hands-on training in park operations and maintenance. The Assistant is part of a team of seasonal staff that work on site at Henningsen Lotus Park to perform a variety of tasks including visitor services, cashier, and park and facilities maintenance.
- River Instructor – Under supervision of the Parks Program Coordinator, the River Aide assists the River Management Program team on the South Fork of the American River. The team implements the River Management Program through river monitoring and kayak patrol activities. The position also helps with park maintenance at Henningsen Lotus Park.
