Commercial and Multi-Family Design Standards
The County General Plan (Goal 2.4) encourages community-based planning in order to maintain and enhance the character of the County's existing rural and suburban communities.
Based on community feedback, the County is currently developing interim community-based objective design standards for the County's West Slope that will apply to multifamily, mixed-use and commercial development in each of the County's Community Regions and Rural Centers. Adoption of the interim objective design standards is anticipated in December, 2024. Development of permanent community-based design standards is anticipated to begin in early 2025.
