About Me

Supervisor Ferrero

A Northern California native, Greg graduated in 1987 from CSU Sacramento with a BS in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration. He also graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2013.

Greg, along with his wife and three children moved to El Dorado Hills in 2007.  During his children’s youth, he coached their sports teams and was a manager with boys team charity.

Greg has been active in commerce, public-safety and civic matters in El Dorado County for many years. Since 2013, he and his wife have owned and operated a small business, which today includes locations in El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park.

Prior to venturing into business, Greg enjoyed an accomplished California Highway Patrol career, which included substantial outreach to residents and agencies in 10 California counties including El Dorado. As commander of the CHP East Sacramento Office, he partnered with El Dorado County’s supervisors, schools and homeowners groups to assess local safety needs.

Greg also directed threat analysis and intelligence coordination for the State of California as well as coordinated the state’s Amber Alert Program.  After 28 years of service, he retired from the CHP as a captain.  His vision for the county is quite simple; make common sense decisions to keep this a great place to live and raise a family.  In his free time Greg enjoys cycling, skiing and fly fishing.
